Generosty is a not for profit income tax and deductible gift recipient (DGR) charity registered with the Australian Charity and Not for Profits Commission http://www.acnc.gov.au/. We require an income stream to maintain our business and we have calculated 20% of the total gift amount to be adequate to sustain our mission of inspiring children. The 20% of the total gift amount is deducted from the amount that is donated to the charity (e.g, if the total gift amount at the RSVP is $150, the gift card will be 50% of this amount = $75 whilst the amount donated to nominated charity is $45 with $30 being the admin fee.
Yes – 50% of the amount you gift is tax deductible; a tax receipt for this amount will be sent to you via email.
According to the Australian Taxation Office, the person who “gifts” the amount to Generosity (i.e. the guest who “purchases” a gift should receive the tax deductible receipt.
We have chosen gift vouchers that can be delivered electronically to reduce costs. You will receive the gift voucher via your nominated email for you to print out. You will receive the gift voucher one business day after your RSVP date. This allows all gift amounts to be processed prior to calculation of the amounts of the gift voucher.
You will have a gift voucher purchased on your behalf so it is important that you understand the relevant terms and conditions of the gift vouchers…these terms and conditions for the individual gift vouchers are available on our website under the “Gift vouchers” webpage
